The shallow waters and calm tides make it an ideal spot for swimming and water sports like jet-skiing, banana boat rides, and parasailing. Nagaon Beach is particularly famous for its stunning sunsets—be sure to visit in the late afternoon to catch the sky ablaze with hues of orange and pink.

The best time to visit Nagaon Beach and Bougainvillea is from October to March, when the weather is pleasant, and the sea is calm. The monsoon season (June to September) can be quite scenic as well, with the surrounding areas turning lush green, though the beach may not be ideal for water activities during heavy rainfall.

Nagaon Beach is easily accessible from Mumbai and Pune, making it a popular weekend destination.
- By Car: The drive from Mumbai to Nagaon takes about 3-4 hours (approximately 100 km). From Pune, it's a 3-hour drive (around 140 km).

- By Train: The nearest railway station is Pen, located around 30 km from Nagaon Beach. You can hire a taxi or take a bus from the station to the beach.
